I document sailing traditions across Scandinavia — from competitive regattas to classic wooden yachts and historic maritime gatherings.

As an active sailor, I work from within the environment I photograph. I understand the movement of a boat under sail, the discipline at the helm, and the character of classic hulls shaped by wind and sea. That perspective guides my approach.

Working from both shore and sea, and using professional long-range optics, I aim to capture vessels in their natural element — balanced, under canvas, and in motion. The focus is always on authenticity rather than staging.

Throughout the season I cover events in Norway, Sweden and Denmark, including regattas, wooden boat festivals and classic yacht meetings. The work is documentary in nature, centred on clarity, timing and respect for the maritime tradition.

Based in Larvik on the Norwegian coast, I am actively involved in the Scandinavian sailing community, including Seilskøyteklubben Colin Archer and local yacht clubs. Much of the season is spent at sea.
